Viki,
AOA Certified Paraoptometric
Viki has worked for Dr. Ryan for over 20 years with last 13 in optical. She has been in the medical field for 34 years. She enjoys working with people and helping them make the best choice for their eye care needs. As with all our staff she is cross trained to help in all areas of the office.
Viki has two grown children. Her dog, Ripley, now keeps her and her husband of 35 years entertained. She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, working out with friends, reading, cooking and loves collecting antique glassware.
Mona,
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
On most days, you will find Mona at the front desk greeting patients as they arrive for their appointment. In addition, she is in charge of the majority of the office bookkeeping duties. You can also look for her as she searches the "Black Hole" of lost insurance claims.
In an office of cross trained staff, Mona also enjoys frame dispensing and repair.
Tammy,
Vision Therapist/AOA Certified Paraoptometric
Tammy has been in the eyecare profession as an optometric assistant with Dr. Ryan since 1996. Her duties in the office include: vision therapy, contact lenses, prescreening and optical. She especially enjoys working with the children in our vision therapy program.
In her spare time she enjoys camping, animals and being involved with her son and daughter's activities.
Shantia, Vision
Therapist/AOA Certified Paraoptometirc
Shantia has been in Optometry over 20 years and enjoys the challenge of the ever changing technology of Optometry. She works in many areas of the office. She loves to work with people, especially children, and finds great satisfaction in helping patients improve their life with vision therapy.
Shantia and her husband, Todd, have two wonderful sons. They enjoy camping, biking, hiking, water and snow sports, as well as participating in their sons' activities.
Gina,
AOA Certified Paraoptometric
Gina joined our office in 2002, initially filling in part-time. She has been with our office since then and has enjoyed learning multiple roles. She performs pre-screening, contact lens new fits, orders and dispenses contact lenses, covers front desk and optical department.
"We want to be the best we can. Encouraged by Dr. Ryan, we attend conferences, conventions and seminars for continuing education". Gina enjoys the teamwork and family atmosphere of the office.
Donna, AOA Certified Paraoptometric
Donna has returned to our office and is excited about the field of optometry. She pursued financial education to strengthen her background in accounting and office practices; she comes to us with over 19 years experience. She performs various duties and is currently renewing her AOA Paraoptometric Certificate.
Donna is busy with being a mother of two children; one is three and the other is seventeen. She enjoys the outdoors, photography, and quilting.
Mary Ellen, AOA Certified Paraoptometric
Mary Ellen has been with our office since 2009. She enjoys the friendly, professional atmosphere and appreciates how patient-focused the staff is. She has multiple duties primarily focused on prescreening, contact lens new fit training, contact lens ordering and dispensing; she also helps out with front desk and optical.
Mary Ellen loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys the outdoor activities that Central Oregon offers.
LaCinda, Optical Assistant
LaCinda is a native of southern California and loves the Central Oregon lifestyle. She has been in customer service for over 12 years and enjoys interacting and developing a rapport with patients. She has been with our office since 2009. It is her first opportunity in the optometric field, and she loves the challenge of learning a new profession. She mainly works in the optical dispensary but does fill in for front desk as needed.
She enjoys cooking, cross stitching, camping, hiking, and being around people who make her smile.
